Product Description

This pin honors Lord Murphy, who won the 1879 Kentucky Derby after a dangerous race with Charlie Shauer up.  Lord Murphy was almost knocked to the ground by Ada Glenn on the first turn, but managed to pull ahead to claim the win.  He was bred in Tennessee by J. T. Carter, owned by George W. Darden & Co. and trained by George Rice.
