This pin honors His Eminence, who won the 1901 Kentucky Derby with jockey James Winkfield up. Winkfield urged him forward at the eighth pole, and His Eminence won by a length and a half over Sannazarro. His Eminence was bred by O.H. Chenault, owned by J. B. Lewman and trained by Frank B. van Meter.
