Product Description

This pin honors Pink Star, winner of the 1907 Kentucky Derby. Pink Star, with jockey Andy Minder up, had trailed behind the other horses for the first three quarters of a mile. Though all seemed over, Pink Star pulled ahead in a spectacular rush to win despite a very muddy track. Pink Star was the grandson of 1883 Derby winner Leonatus. He was bred and owned by J. Hal Woodford and trained by W. H. Fizer.
