Product Description

This pin honors Worth, winner of the 1912 Kentucky Derby with Carroll Hugh Shilling up. The entire racing field had a slow start, but Shilling pushed Worth into the lead to win over Duval. Tragically, Worth was euthanized the following year after irreparably wounding his leg in a race in Maryland. Worth was bred R.H McCarter Porter , owned by Harry Clay (HC) Hallenbeck and trained by Frank M. Taylor.
