Product Description

This pin honors Reigh Count, winner of the 1928 Kentucky Derby with a quick start and a fast finish, with jockey Chick Lang up. Reigh Count was bred by Willis Sharpe Kilmer at Court manor in New Market, Virginia, the same man who bred 1918 Derby winner Exterminator. He was owned by Mrs. Frannie Hertz and trained by Henry McDaniel. In his retirement, Reigh Count sired future 1943 Triple Crown winner Count Fleet.
