This pin honors Hoop Jr., winner of the 1945 Kentucky Derby with future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Eddie Arcaro. He won the Derby by 6 lengths over Pot O’ Luck on a muddy track. Hoop Jr. was bred by Robert A Fairbairn, owned by Fred W. Hooper and trained by Ivan H. Parke.
