Product Description

This pin honors Bold Forbes, winner of the 1976 Kentucky Derby in a rally on the final turn over Honest Pleasure with 1974 Derby winning jockey Angel Cordero, Jr. up. Bold Forbes had been bred at Red Bull Stables by Lee Eaton and foaled at Eaton Farms in Lexington, Kentucky; but he was sold to Puerto Rican horse-owner Esteban Rodriguez Tizol and trained there in Puerto Rico by U.S. Racing Hall of Fame trainer Laz Barrera. In retirement, Bold Forbes stood at Stone Farm in Paris, Kentucky as a successful sire.
