1894 Chant Tac Pin
This pin honors Chant, who was the steady leader throughout the 1894 race, winning with jockey Frank Goodale up. Bred by A. J. Alexander from the Woodburn Stud Farm, Chant was related to other Derby winners from Woodburn: notably 1880 winner Fonso and 1885 winner Joe Cotton. Chant was owned by H. Eugene Leigh and Robert L. Rose, and trained by Leigh.
