1927 Whiskery Tac Pin
This pin honors Whiskery, winner of the 1927 Kentucky Derby in the last stretch by a nose over Osmand. Whiskery was ridden by jockey Linus McAtee and trained by Fred Hopkins. He was bred in Lexington, Kentucky by Harry Payne Whitney, the same breeder who produced 1915 Derby winner Regret.
