2000 Fusaichi Pegasus Tac Pin
This pin honors Fusiachi Pegasus, winner of the 2000 Kentucky Derby with U.S. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux up. In the Derby, Fusiachi Pegasus raced hard and fast on the extreme inside, then outside of the track, finally defeating the leader Aptitude. He would go on and lose the Preakness, making his owners decide to sit him out of the Belmont. He has stood as a stud at numerous stud farms across the globe. Fusiachi Pegasus was bred by Arthur B. Hancock III, grandson of the legendary Arthur B. Hancock of early 20th century horse breeding, at Stonerside Ltd. He was owned by Fusao Sekiguchi and trained by Neil D. Drysdale.
