2007 Street Sense Tac Pin
This pin honors Street Sense, winner of the 2007 Kentucky Derby with jockey Calvin Borel up. Street Sense casually caught up to the front runners, winning, after a rally, by 2.5 lengths over Hard Spun. He went on to lost the Preakness to Curlin, and his owners decided to have him sit out the Belmont Stakes. In 2007, he retired to Darley Stud Farm. Street Sense was bred and owned by James B. Tafel at Darley Stud and trained by Carl Nafzger.
